Dr. Eugene McGuire
Dr. McGuire graduated from Kings College in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, where he received a presidential honors scholarship. He graduated from Temple Dental School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and was elected to six honor societies. His residency in pediatric dentistry was also completed at Temple University.
He has since practiced his specialty for more than 35 years. Dr. McGuire is board-certified and a member of the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He is an associate professor of pediatric dentistry at Temple Dental School where he teaches clinically and provides lectures to the students. He is a past president of the dental alumni association and was elected alumnus of the year.
Dr. McGuire enjoys golf and vacationing with his family and friends. He has coached baseball, soccer, and basketball for the South Parkland Youth Association. He and his wife, Kathy, enjoy attending home football games for Penn State. They have a son, Ryan, who also is in practice with him. Both are on staff at local hospitals and Fairgrounds Surgical Center.
They recommend seeing children by their first birthday, the recommended guideline of the Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, of which both Dr. McGuire and his son are members. They see infants and children, including those with special needs. Both offer certified sedation in order to lessen children’s fear and to provide a higher quality of care
