About Dr. Lucas Carubia
Smile Specialist; Certified, American Board of Pediatric Dentistry
Dr. Lucas Carubia earned his bachelor of science in nutrition health and exercise science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and doctor of dental surgery from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine. He completed his pediatric residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he also earned a master’s degree in oral sciences.
Dr. Carubia was a recipient of several academic scholarships, honors and awards with his proudest accomplishment being asked to serve as a faculty member at the University of Illinois with a concentration in the dental clinic and simulation lab. His clinical experience includes general dentistry, pediatric, specialty dentistry, oral surgery and interceptive orthodontics. Continuing education is important to Dr. Carubia, which is why he maintains a certification in basic and pediatric advanced life support. He enjoys being an active member of his community and has served on multiple non-profit and professional organizations.
Dr. Carubia developed his love for the outdoors from his upbringing in Colorado Springs, Colorado, alongside his two bothers and one sister. Both his parents were school teachers who instilled not only his work ethic but his thirst for knowledge. Of his three siblings, one is a physician, and two are general dentists. Dr. Carubia is excited about the opportunity to live and work on the east coast and resides at Lake Wallenpaupack. In his free time, he enjoys snowboarding, rafting, camping, fishing, hiking and living a healthy lifestyle. He looks forward to meeting Smiles 4 Keeps patients and their families!
