About Dr. Kanisha Campbell
Dr. Kanisha Campbell grew up just outside Toronto, Ontario and relocated to the United States on a soccer scholarship to Illinois State University. After receiving numerous scholar-athlete awards and finishing her undergrad training, she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh and completed a general practice residency in Bronx, New York. While practicing as a general dentist, she found her passion for working with children and decided to continue her studies, completing her Pediatric Dental Residency at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center where she served as chief resident. Dr. Campbell is now a certified specialist and fellow of Pediatric Dentistry with the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
She believes in the importance of forming good habits early, making children feel at ease and hopes to create positive, fun memories at the dentist, leading to a life of beautiful smiles. Dr. Campbell is a member of several organizations (RCDSC, RCDSO, ODA, AAPD, ABPD,). In her free time Dr. Campbell loves outdoor activities, spending time with her 6-year-old son, reading books, watching movies, travelling and trying new restaurants.
